The Gathering Quiet carries a moody, cinematic atmosphere, like that suspended moment just before the weather shifts when everything seems to pause. There is a sense of scale and anticipation, as though the landscape is holding its breath before something powerful moves through.

The sky dominates the composition, alive with layered cloud forms drifting from soft peach and cream into deeper greys and cool, storm-driven blues. The brushwork feels restless and wind-driven, suggesting air gathering strength across the horizon.

Below, the ocean and shoreline unfold in sweeping layers of charcoal, rust, white and subtle hints of aqua, building a quiet tension between the warmth of the land and the cooler, unsettled movement above.

The painting is a one of a kind original, created on stretched artist-quality canvas and is finished in a solid natural timber floating frame and arrives ready to hang.  As with all of Tania’s original works, it is signed and titled on the back, and stamped on the front with the initials “TC” in a soft, neutral tone placed near the lower right.
